I will tell you a little about myself, I am an original Bucks Fizz fan whom fell in love with Mike Nolan at the age of 13. Throughout my teenage years I lived and breathed just one thing - Bucks Fizz. I had to video record every TV appearance and watch it repeatedly every night after school, STUFF HOMEWORK !! How my parents coped I will never understand!!!
They took me to loads of gigs. Every time I went I would take bucket loads of photos, which I still have. Every magazine and news article was carefully cut out and put on my bedroom wall! In just over 12 months I had covered my four walls inch by inch with cuttings. Needless to say that I then made a start on the ceiling!!!
I had to have every record on the day of release and on each format. I was convinced that I would end up going to London and marrying Mike at the age of 16! When they had their accident I was devastated. Even the teacher at college told me to go home. I went to Newcastle (from Bolton!) and took all of them flowers to the hospital. I also went to Bobby`s hotel and left a red rose for him with a Get Well message.
Later on I arranged a sponsored walk for the Mike Nolan Brain Damage Research Fund and raised £25 pounds which was a lot of money to me in those days! The most rewarding thing to me about this was that I received a personal letter from Anthony Strong whom saved Mike`s life. See Letter I still have all my Bucks Fizz stuff and will never part with it. They were my childhood and made "growing up" worthwhile.
I worked for Virgin Records for 15 years before becoming a full time mum to Daniel Connor on 2nd February 2000.
My musical tastes these days vary quite alot although I have lost touch with the music scene! These days you are more likely to hear me singing Baa Baa Black Sheep whilst watching the Tweenies!!
