Born onDecember 7th. 1954, Mike came to England from Dublin with his parents as a small child. He always wanted to be a singer and he started gigging in London with his Guitar. He joined various groups and had eight unsuccessful singles released. Nichola Martin remebered him from a previous audition when recording "Making Your Mind Up" which she and producer Andy Hill entered for the 1981 "Song for Europe contest". Subsequently they decided to get three other people to sing it with Mike and Bucks Fizz were formed. Since the horrific road crash when Mike had major surgery to remove a clot from his brain, Mike has had a constant battle to regain his fitness. However he has resumed his old hobbies of eating curry and running up large telephone bills!
