Born on May 14th 1964, Shelley was always known as the new girl even though she spent five years with the group. She was chosen from auditions where over a thousand hopefuls turned up. Prior to joining the group her only professional experience had been a six month spell in Sri-Lanka singing in nightclubs but she was instantly catapulted into a whirl of TV, recording and touring engagements, having only a matter of weeks to learn several years of previous 'Fizz' material. She has been seen in various TV commercials and has become a successful model. Since leaving the group she has sung backing vocals for artists such as Michael Bolton, Beverly Craven, Jason Donovan and more recently Steven Houghton.
